| The potential to attract new customers is given by many Supplier organisations as the main reason for wanting to display an INDEPENDENTLY AWARDED Quality Mark. This “marketing dominant” attitude clearly demonstrates the very substantial “promotional power” that INDEPENDENTLY AWARDED Quality Marks have over most other marketing techniques. Indeed, in practice, the simple 21st Century reality is that consumers, in general, and quality-conscious consumers, in particular, understand the “added value” that INDEPENDENTLY ASSESSED capabilities offer and, increasingly, these consumers are prepared to pay premium prices for that added value.
