GENERAL MEMBERSHIP CODE OF CONDUCT
All
individual Members (and the appointed representatives of Company Members)
shall use their continuous and best personal endeavours to remain optimally
compliant with both the spirit and the letter of this General Code and,
in particular, shall:
1) publicly and generally conduct themselves in a manner that is courteous,
ethical and respectful of the rights of others and mindful of the protective
needs of consumers, Society and of the natural environment;
2) refrain from engaging in any illegal activities and/or in any other
activities that are likely to unjustifiably damage and/or harm and/or
otherwise unjustifiably discredit themselves and/or the reputation of
the Association and/or to unjustifiably challenge and/or otherwise unjustifiably
cast doubt upon the personal or Corporate integrity of any Member of the
Association;
3) refrain from communicating and/or publishing in any format (including
spoken or written words) any illegal, dishonest or intentionally misrepresented
data;
4) refrain from publishing and/or using and/or otherwise deploying
any unsolicited communicative practices and/or techniques and;
5) keep confidential all consumer and/or customer and/or inter-Member
information or other Member-related and/or Membership-related data and
not disclose all or any part thereof to any third party save for such
information as may already be in the public domain and/or is required
to be disclosed by a Member's locally applicable laws and/or their Terms
of Employment. |
